What is the mesotherapy procedure?
Mesotherapy is the general name given to injections made into the mesoderm, or superficial dermis, layer of the skin.
The aim is to stimulate the collagen synthesized from the fibroblasts in this area and to increase the skin quality by preserving the production of hyaluronic acid between the cells. The two main molecules that make up our skin are collagen and hyaluronic acid. The peptides that make up collagen consist of amino acids. In the mesotherapy process, the aim of amino acid and peptide applications to the skin is to trigger collagen production and preserve the elasticity of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that has the ability to absorb water up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid applications applied to the superficial dermis to regain the volume and moisture lost in the intercellular space with age provide a significant antiaging effect.
